EY takes over Kivala-HR

  • EY expands IT advisory services in human resources

  • Advisory expertise in SAP Human Capital Management (SAP HCM) and SAP Cloud Solutions expanded

Stuttgart, 15 September 2017.

The professional services firm EY (Ernst & Young) is acquiring the Kivala-HR consultancy with its registered office in Essen. Kivala-HR is an internationally active consultancy specializing in HR process advisory services with a particular focus on the SAP Human Capital Management system (SAP HCM). It also offers a full range of advisory services in SAP Cloud Solutions.

“HR departments and HR processes play a key role in the transformation of business models. Today more than ever, the transformation of multi-faceted HR processes is being driven by IT systems. With Kivala-HR, we have acquired proven specialists for the implementation of the comprehensive human capital management system SAP HCM and for SAP SuccessFactors. This is another major step on our path to strategically expanding our People Advisory Services, seeing us add the core component of comprehensive HR-related IT advisory services to our range of services,” explains Ulrike Hasbargen, Head of People Advisory Services at EY.

“EY and Kivala-HR complement one another brilliantly,” says Frank-Reiner Gross, co-founder and partner at Kivala-HR. “Together we will be an advisory partner for designing and implementing IT-based HR processes with both national and global reach.”

“EY and Kivala-HR have already successfully carried out projects in partnership and now, as a unit within the global network of EY firms, they will drive the topic of digitalization of our clients’ HR functions even more innovatively,” emphasizes Nelson Taapken, Head of Performance, Systems & Talent at EY.

In the course of the acquisition, the three partners and all of the approximately 30 employees of Kivala-HR will be integrated in the 1,100-strong People Advisory Services organization of EY Germany and Switzerland. The integration is set to be complete by October 2017. The partners and founders of Kivala-HR, Frank-Reiner Gross, Simon Olive and Dino Sentenstein, will become partners at EY Germany and EY Switzerland.
