Kivala-HR Rescue States of Guernsey Recruitment System

SOG thumbnailThe States of Guernsey had previously installed a software system for candidates to browse and apply for jobs, and for recruiters to manage applications ‘easily’. After reorganising teams and processes around the system it should have been user friendly and able to deliver real efficiencies for  all concerned. Unfortunately, it did not live up to requirements or expectations.  Instead, it became a barrier to candidates who often had lots of choice in the market. Over time, the system became a focus of complaint; seen as slow and prone to error with little regard for the user experience.  In 2015, it was agreed that the States needed to progress with a new recruitment system.

Global HR Processes and SAP HCM System Integration

The challenge:

Kivala-HR was required to unify, standardize and simplify HR processes and systems for a large worldwide pharmaceutical organization.As with many large global companies, the client had IT and human resource functions that were largely split between their main divisions. These “silos” meant that affiliates often operated different HR processes on a variety of different technical platforms. This disconnect made it difficult to operate the system and services landscape and led to a very high total cost of ownership.

Merck Success Story

The challenge:

Kivala-HR was invited by MERCK KGAA to create a new security and authorization system and implement it on their productive SAP HCM environment.
In order to achieve Merck’s long-term strategic goals, Kivala-HR provided expert support, developing concepts and carrying out a joint implementation. The return of customer solutions to SAP standard and its compliance with the implementation of new solutions was always the main focus.

The challenge:

In 2005 Firmenich chose SAP for their global ERP platform.  The roll-out was planned to be delivered country by country for various functions, however, the Human Resources function was keen to be able to deliver to all countries simultaneously a common global approach to managing professional development, performance and compensation within SAP. Firmenich needed a consultancy of SAP specialists who could design and implement a truly global solution that could meet the business needs.
